Oakley—Damian Lillard Enigma Ink

Swanson Studio partnered with Oakley to develop the creative concept and lead production for the Enigma Ink Signature Series campaign featuring NBA All-Star Damian Lillard.

The idea centered around ink as a unifying thread across Lillard’s worlds. The athlete. The businessman. The musician. Ink signs contracts. Ink pens lyrics. Ink marks legacy.
Building on this concept, Swanson Studio developed the creative direction and produced the campaign across still and motion, creating a portrait-driven visual series that reflects the many dimensions of Lillard’s identity and influence.

Production required supporting an A-list athlete across multiple company moves while maintaining a streamlined set capable of capturing both still photography and cinematic motion content. Working from our Portland studio base and coordinating across locations, Swanson Studio led creative development, production planning, crew assembly, and on-set execution.

The still campaign was photographed by John Jay of Glasshouse Artists, while motion was captured by Swanson Studio Director of Photography Cameron Smith. Swanson Studio also led post-production and finishing for the campaign assets.

The result is a visually driven campaign that reflects both Oakley’s design language and Damian Lillard’s multidisciplinary creative identity.
