Swanson Studio partnered with Nike ACG to provide post-production and photo retouching across a selection of imagery captured during the Western States Endurance Run.
The work focuses on refining in-race captures while preserving the integrity of the environment, balancing technical precision with a natural, unforced aesthetic aligned with ACG’s performance-driven visual language.
Post-production and retouching were approached with a restrained hand, prioritizing realism while selectively shaping contrast, tone, and color to create cohesion across the set.
Terrain, atmosphere, and athlete exertion were treated as core to the image, with retouching designed to enhance clarity and product detail without disrupting the authenticity of the moment.
